i Light Singapore is back for its 11th edition, lighting up the Marina Bay area from 30 May to 22 June 2025. This year’s theme, “To Gather”, centers on the color red — a symbol of passion, strength, and togetherness. Artists are invited to explore how light can bring people together and inspire collective action for a greener future.
The curatorial theme of i Light Singapore 2025, To Gather, calls for innovative light art installations that draw inspiration from the colour red in moving the human collective. As the lifeblood of our collective existence, red is the common thread that binds us all together – a call to embrace unity in diversity.
To Gather strives to spark conversations, foster vibrant communities and inspire collective action so as to effect positive change for a more sustainable future.
🎨 Artist & Student Participation
The Open Call for artists closed on 4 October 2024, offering creators up to SGD 18,000 in funding, along with airfare and accommodation for one artist to travel and showcase their work in Singapore. The festival welcomed both local and international submissions, with a strong focus on sustainable and energy-efficient installations.
There was also a dedicated Student Call, inviting young talents from Singapore’s tertiary institutions to design and present their own light art installations — nurturing the next generation of eco-conscious creatives.
